Flower Essences
The original flower essences were developed by Dr. Edward Bach, an English physician and homeopath, in the 1930′s. They are highly dilute tinctures of flowers, and have no fragrance or flavor other than the brandy used as preservative. Bach’s original remedies are the most widely known and used today, although many other essences have been developed from all over the world. Flower essences are generally taken orally, either directly from the dropper bottle or in drinking water. There are no side effects or contraindications and they can be used in conjunction with any other treatments, Western or alternative.
